A specter is haunting the Democrat Party — the specter of inflation.

Inflation is an insidious tax that robs the poor and the middle class. Remember the Chinese word tui-dang.  It means “quit the party” – as in the that of the ruling Chicoms.

On yesterday, April 20, the number of people who have published their declarations to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), its Youth League, and the Young Pioneers exceeded 376 million.  That’s no typo. Three hundred and seventy six million Chinese have publicly quit the CCP.

China experts are now saying that this grassroots Tuidang (Quit the Party) movement that started in 2004 may trigger the disintegration of the CCP within 5 years.

[Intro by Jack Wheeler.  This is my friend Felix Rodriguez, legendary Cuban-born CIA agent who was key to organizing the Bay of Pigs invasion to liberate Communist Cuba 60 years ago this week, April 17-20, 1961.  In 2015, I took Felix to Iwo Jima, where he hoisted the flag of the Brigade 2506 liberation force up the flagpole on Mount Suribachi (you can see the Marine’s 1945 black sand invasion beach below).

Felix’s most famous CIA exploit was capturing Che Guevara in the jungles of Bolivia in 1967.  Here he is with Che who had only an hour to live when the photo was taken.  The Bolivian military ordered him killed while Felix wanted him to live as Che was pleading to tell everything he knew about Castro.

The Democrat party is dying. That may be hard to believe since Democrats control both houses of Congress and won the last presidential election with millions of fraudulent votes.

But the exiguous margins of their hold on the House and Senate, with fewer than 51 percent of the seats in either chamber, tell another story, as does the desperation of their struggle to abolish the filibuster and Voter ID election laws, plus packing the Supreme Court

Simply put, Democrats know they can no longer win by the old agreed-upon rules, constitutional or otherwise.   Joe Biden may still be alive, but the party is dead.

The Wall Street Journal on Friday (4/09) published an editorial headlined “The GOP’s Trump Problem.” It gets things terribly wrong. The GOP is Trump’s party and it is the Wall Street Journal that has the Trump problem.

Having been commendably supportive of the former president through most of his term, the Journal joined in the general embarkation of NeverTrumpers over the ostensible election results.  The Journal should be ashamed of itself.

The fact that the former Republican establishment fell in with the Democrat narrative and refused to accept the possibility of this, in the most tainted election in American history (except perhaps 1876), is a disgrace and a dishonor to them.

Last month on March 18, the California Department of Education approved its Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum, and individual school districts have begun to implement programs that advocate “decolonizing” the United States and “liberating” students from capitalism, patriarchy, and settler colonialism.

The ethnic studies curriculum is based on the work of Brazilian Marxist Paulo Freire, who invented the concept of the “pedagogy of the oppressed,” which holds that students must be educated to understand their oppression and develop the practical skills, or “praxis,” to challenge and eventually overthrow their oppressors.

The goal is that schools should start transforming children into “activist intellectuals,” beginning in first grade. “[It’s] never too young,” say the Curriculum’s authors.

A new conservative opposition research group is using unorthodox, and controversial, tactics to throw what it describes as "a big handful of sand" in the gears of the Biden administration — tactics it claims have been used effectively by the left for years.

In an interview with Tom Jones, founder of the American Accountability Foundation (AAF), he explained:

"I see our group right now as getting up every morning and with the goal of making it as difficult as possible for the Biden administration and their allies on the Hill to implement their agenda.  Our goal is to take a big handful of sand and throw it in the gears of the Biden administration, and that’s what we’re going to do every day."

While COVID-19 can hardly be called a major public health threat anymore, having now reached endemic status (like the seasonal flu), the fearmongerers who need this crisis to continue in order to complete the implementation of a Great Reset of the global economy and social structure aren’t letting up.

So they fearmongering a new variant of SARS-CoV-2 that is, allegedly, now “causing so many problems” in Europe. But is it really? To be clear, there will be many new variants of this virus, just as the seasonal flu changes and evolves from year to year. The thing is, as viruses mutate within a population over time, they tend to become more benign.

Just a few weeks ago, COVID-related lockdowns were leading many states to implement or advance already existing school choice measures. Now it is happening at breakneck speed.

Legislators and parents have become fed up, and are doing what they can to regain control of the educational lives of children. They have watched as private schools flourish, while many of the government-run variety—typically at the behest of the teachers’ unions—have been shuttered.

Also, because of forced online learning, parents have been given a Zoom-view as to just what teachers are—and are not—teaching. Quite an eye-opener.

The Pavlovian “Trump did it!” sums up Joe Biden’s fallback excuse when faced with any embarrassment and failure.

The truth is that Trump’s policies at home and abroad were neither neoconservative and interventionist nation-building nor RINO Republican country-club economics, but instead realist abroad and populist at home.

More importantly, Trump’s record was not so much ideological as practical, and led not to chaos but to achievement. Biden is daily discarding that gift and blaming Trump for his own growing self-created miseries.

@Corporate communism began trending on Twitter yesterday afternoon (3/30) due to the video above of MTG (Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene) coining the term.

The freshman Republican is talking about the Xiden administration’s ambitions to buddy up with so-called private companies in creating a way to identify who has been vaccinated against the Chicom Virus.

She’s right. These “vaccine passports” would allow some combination of companies and the government to prohibit unvaccinated people from traveling, going to events or gatherings, or otherwise participating in a free and normal society.

You know the plot point in the horror film where the highway is blocked and a detour sign directs the car full of naive teens off onto a rutted track into the wilderness?

We're right there in the narrative of "The Road to Recovery": the highway that Democrat Wall Street and Media promises would be smooth and wide open is about to be detoured into a rutted track that peters out in a wilderness without any lights or signage.

Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski have once again betrayed the American people and voted to confirm one of the most insidious persons ever nominated to a Cabinet position, Richard "Rachel" Levine.  He will now be the assistant secretary of health.

The question of the day is, why have any Republicans voted to confirm any of Biden's Cabinet appointees?  Every one of them has been chosen not for their expertise in any sphere of influence, but for their radicalism; the farther left these people are, the better in Biden's (?) view.

Guo Shuqing, chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission, stated recently that high financial leverage may threaten Chinese firms with bankruptcy. Guo noted that China’s debt has soared 30 percent since the outset of the coronavirus pandemic.

The President of China, Xi Jingping, has made his intentions extremely clear: to overtake the United States as the major global superpower. In domestic speeches for Chinese audiences, he hammers the table about dominating the US.

“The biggest source of chaos in the present-day world is the United States,” President Xi said recently, “The United States is the biggest threat to our country’s development and security.”

Some people are afraid that this means a hot war with tanks and guns is on the horizon. But that would be counterproductive for China. They don’t need to go to war. They already won. Just look at how much China has accomplished over the past year.

“A small but determined and vicious minority is bullying people,” observes Instapundit Glenn H. Reynolds in the New York Post. “Woke tyrants are riding high” and “62 percent of Americans self-censor their political expression.”

The question for me, as a scholar and citizen, is why this minority has been able to gain such control, not only here but throughout the Anglosphere and in Western Europe. President Trump jump-started his presidential campaign because of his outsized presence on Twitter.  Once he became president, he used Twitter to bypass a hostile media.  He also used his tweets to capture the media's attention while he got the real work done in the Oval Office.

No wonder Twitter has deplatformed him.  Now, though, a Trump insider is reporting that POTUS has social media plans for his own: he's got a new platform planned and wants to redefine social media.

I am not a particular fan of Ernest Hemingway’s novel “The Sun Also Rises.”  But there is one exchange between two of the characters, Bill Gorton and Mike Campbell, that has stuck with me.

“’How did you go bankrupt?’ Bill asked.

‘Two ways,’ Mike said. ‘Gradually and then suddenly’.”

That passage has been running through my head a lot recently. President Trump had arrested America’s gradual decline.  Now this impostor in his place has accelerated it straight off a cliff.

The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden's cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast.

His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband's campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.

There are tens of millions of Americans who either have been stung, or turned off, by McCarthyite wokeness (and thus have anti-wokeness antibodies). More have been vaccinated from its latest virulent strains by their own values of judging people as individuals, not as racial or gender collectives.
