I’ve been saying this from the start — 2022 is ours to lose.  In less than 2 years of Joe Biden’s presidency and the Democrat Party’s takeover in Washington, we have only:

Rip-roaring inflation, empty shelves, mothers who can’t find baby formula, a dangerous invasion at our Southern border, drugs and criminals marching in everyday, escalating spending and debt, a botched withdrawal from Afghanistan that cost 13 Americans their lives, radical indoctrination of our children in schools and rising crime.

Now we are 4 months away from the 2022 midterms, and Republicans have a message of hope for our country. We are on the right side of the issues, and we are pushing forward.

The American people are going to deliver a complete butt-kicking to the Democrats this November. The Red Wave will sweep the nation and here are just a few reasons why.

Anyone who watched the unlikely Biden campaign unfold as it did knows that Jill Biden, not-a-medical doctor, is largely responsible for the disaster that is her husband's presidency.

She, more than anyone else, knew that Joe was suffering from advancing dementia, yet she signed on to the far left's plan to exile Trump no matter what the cost.

Whatever made her and the cabal that rigged the election six ways to Sunday think they could pull it off proves they are all power mad idiots.  They apparently thought they could put old Joe out there as a front and implement their treasured Marxist green policies, force the middle and working classes to submit, and preserve their elite status and survive.

Democrats are facing their worst political environment in over a decade heading into November’s mid-term elections.

In response, Democrats have desperately tried to change the narrative by focusing on abortion and guns, but that’s gone over like a lead balloon. The economy and inflation are still at the top of any list of concerns.

In short, the fundamentals are just awful for the Democrats. That means they need to do something to influence the election that goes beyond actually enacting good policy, and if you listen closely, you’ll discern exactly what they are preparing.

Even if Fake News and Big Tech keep up their efforts to suppress it, it’s so vast and egregious that it’s going to erupt into a campaign issue in the fall — and Democrats can’t have that. So here’s what they’re gonna do.

Green tyranny has finally provoked mass reactions, and the first government has fallen after imposing insane policies that wrecked the food supply for its people.

Both the president and the prime minister of Sri Lanka are resigning in the wake of massive mobs storming and occupying their residences.   The video clip above shows the incredible size of the crowd storming the parliament building.

But it is not just third-world countries that are experiencing mass revolts against top-down green policies.  Farmers in Holland are in open revolt against government plans to destroy their livelihoods, and the revolt is spreading to Germany, Italy, Spain, and Poland.

West Newton, Pennsylvania—As the sun dipped below the horizon of the Laurel Mountains off in the distance of the Evergreen Drive-In Theater, families with children were spread out on their sleeping blankets in front of their cars. A cluster of couples was sitting in folding chairs, enjoying each other’s company.

Then, they all stood and placed their hands over their hearts. They joined together in singing the national anthem as it was played across all three screens.

They remained standing and sang along with the images on the screen to Lee Greenwood’s “Proud to be an American” immediately after that. Seasoned attendees can always tell who the newbies are to the experience—they’re the ones moved to tears and wonder on their faces.

Carl von Clausewitz observed in his classic On War that “the maximum use of force is by no means incompatible with the simultaneous use of the intellect.” That means, in part, acting thoughtfully but with the utmost effort, understanding that war is more bar fight than chess game.

Or, to put it in the simpler words of Jim Malone, Eliot Ness’s counselor in The Untouchables, “You wanna know how to get Capone? They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That’s the Chicago way!”

Al Capone is an apt analogy for what the West confronts in Vladimir Putin: a particularly noxious mix of Mafia mentality, hypernationalist ideology, and totalitarian technique. Elegance is not the Putin/Russian way, and it cannot be our way.

This is the light in which one should measure the accomplishments of NATO’s Madrid Summit last week (6/28-30).

On the Donbas battlefields, Russian troops still strive to advance, but in the global arena of confrontation with the collective West, Russia keeps losing ground.

A sequence of heavy blows breached Russian defensive geopolitical positions last week, and Moscow’s attempts at counterstrikes only aggravated the sustained damage.

All attempts of Putin to exacerbate the economic difficulties that are supposed to erode Western unity are now inevitably backfiring for Russia, cutting down its petro-revenues and further squeezing crucially needed imports.

Michael Lopez worked for a huge subdivision of an even bigger multinational entertainment corporation, the place that most of us imagine as a hotbed of woke virtue-signaling.  Certainly, Lopez thought he was taking a snowflake's stand about the Dobbs decision, only to find his employer slapping him down like a mosquito on the wall.

It's just one person, but it's another small sign that the corporate world's love affair with its bullying woke employees is finally ending.

For when his exquisite woke sensitivities made it impossible for him to work after the Dobbs decision, his employer was not at all sympathetic but, instead, fired him.  How glorious.

The flurry of rulings from the Supreme Court has everyone’s head spinning. The most significant among them, even if it doesn’t capture all the headlines, is West Virginia v EPA. The majority opinion is impressive, but the part I found truly wonderful is the concurring opinion by Justice Neil Gorsuch.

This is where we see things headed, toward a major and much-welcome curbing of the power of the administrative state.

Just to review what this thing is, it’s an unelected bureaucracy that rules the country without oversight from voters or legislatures. It writes its own laws, polices its own laws, and has its own courts to punish you if you disobey its own laws.  Gorsuch thinks the whole thing is unconstitutional and he’s right.

A festering rot of racial animosity exists in our society that we willfully ignore socially and politically. It is a rot that eats away at the flesh of our civil society and spoils the greatness of our multicultural nation.

Progressives continually tell us we have blinders on when it comes to racism in American society. They’ve shoved their ideological solution of anti-racism to force us to “deconstruct” what they believe is an inherently deep-seated racist nation.

I, as a black American, am supposed to rejoice in the presence of our self-appointed saviors, but I peeked behind the veil and saw who they really are.

The post-Soviet transformation took Russia from a fledgling democracy to a corrupt autocracy.

But, since the start of the war against Ukraine, the Kremlin has taken a new turn, which amounts to a resolute top-down effort at reversing what progress has been achieved in modernizing the state system, economy and society.

The paradox of resorting to the old Soviet way of war based on the massive application of force, while having neither the human resources nor the industrial base necessary to carry it out, undercuts whatever small gains Russian forces are able to make in Donbas (Svoboda.org, June 24).

With every delivery of Western weapon systems, the Armed Forces of Ukraine take a step forward in modernization, while the Russian military falls back to unsustainable World War II patterns (Republic.ru, June 24).

America, as the world’s only successful multiracial democratic republic, was always fragile. As Ronald Reagan famously warned in 1964, it was and is always one generation away from disappearing—should any cohort become so foolish as to mock its past, dismantle its institutions, revert to tribalism, redistribute rather than create wealth, and consume rather than invest.

We are that generation. And we have an accounting with nature’s limitations, given there is always a corrective, not a nice one, but remediation nonetheless for every excess.

There is an antidote. But it seems well beyond this generation’s capacity.

As TTPers have learned, overturning Roe v. Wade may not be the Supreme Court’s most dramatic decision this year.

Instead, its ruling on West Virginia v. the Environmental Protection Agency could prove far more consequential. It could literally upend how our government works.

For the better.

WV v EPA asks whether important policies that impact the lives of all Americans should be made by unelected D.C. bureaucrats or by Congress. This SCOTUS could well decide that ruling by executive agency fiat is no longer acceptable.

Elections will not legitimize any government if they are rigged.

We must end the absurdity whereby a private corporation can be hired to count our votes and then refuse to prove to us exactly how it got the final numbers.

If the system is not completely transparent and auditable, you can never be confident in it.  You can be completely justified in suspecting that it is fraudulent.  When the public no longer trusts those who count the votes, then the outcome will be chaos.

The 2020 election was rigged, but it is not up to us to prove that.  So what about the next election?

Colombia, which is America's strongest ally, has always had the most level-headed voters in the region.

They did, after all, fight a 60-year war against Marxist narcoterrorists, with only a few university wokesters defending them.

So it was shocking news that on Sunday (6/19), Colombians went and elected a former M-19 narcoguerrilla named Gustavo Petro, president, turning one of the most conservative countries in the region to the far left for the first time.

We have a president who doesn’t even pretend to be working night and day to beat back inflation, save the economy from a recession or tackle rampant crime and growing political violence.

He looks to be on automatic pilot when the nation desperately needs strong leadership. Through May, the president spent 188 full or partial days away from the White House, on a pace to spend 553 days away over a full term – the most of any modern president

This is more than bad optics. It’s a sign Biden is tuned out and merely going through the motions of being president without making a fulsome effort to right the ship of state. He is the president who’s not really there.

I recently led a group of about 100 citizens on a tour of Israel for nearly two weeks. Before returning to the United States, all participants had to indicate their vaccination status and take a COVID-19 test for reentry.

Contrast this to the tens of thousands of foreign nationals now mustering to cross illegally into the United States this summer, as exampled in the video above.  They follow the already 2 million who’ve entered the country unlawfully since Joe Biden became president.

Does any foreign national worry about being tested for COVID-19, much less fear being turned away if he tests positive or lacks proof of vaccination?

Or do we scrutinize far more carefully U.S. citizens entering their own country legally than we do noncitizens crossing our borders unlawfully?

We must have the patience to support the Ukrainians. A strategically bankrupt, selfish and impatient French approach will only encourage future aggression.

The Ukrainians have fought for the right to determine how this war ends. We must give them time to retake all their territory and inflict a military defeat on Russia. If that also humiliates Russia, that is the price they must pay for their brutality, destruction and unwarranted aggression.

We must prove that the democracies of the world have the resilience, unity and perseverance to resist the coercion and aggression of all of this era’s techno-authoritarian regimes.

The press has focused on the Dobbs case because the Supreme Court will use it to sweep Roe v. Wade into the dustbin of history. The ruling will bring a lot of emotion from both sides, as 49 years of prayer finally are answered.

Likewise, NYSRPA II will get a lot of attention because the association likely will succeed in ending New York's draconian restrictions on carrying a pistol to protect oneself.

However, the Supreme Court case that matters the most this year is West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency. This is why.

Russia is a superficially Europeanized society that sustained more than 70 years of communism.  When the Soviet system finally collapsed in 1991, the result was not stability but a decade of near-anarchy. With such an inheritance, Vladimir Putin’s tyranny followed organically.

Mr. Putin has been described accurately as a fascist, owing to his cult of personality and ferocious ultranationalist assault on Ukraine. It is also true that Mr. Putin has been Soviet in his style of rule. He has amassed more personal power than any Russian since Joseph Stalin.

Many were naive when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, thinking communism was consigned to an irrecoverable past. The past three decades have proved to be a mere false start for Russia because the problems of communism are still with us.

Donald Trump has signaled he will announce his presidential intentions after the November midterm elections.

The disaster of the Biden Administration has been a godsend for Trump. Had Biden simply plagiarized the successful Trump agenda, there would have followed no border disaster, no energy crisis, no hyperinflation, and no calamitous flight from Afghanistan.

How ironic that the Biden catastrophe revived a Trump candidacy. Biden likely will cause the Democrats to lose Congress. His pick of a dismal Kamala Harris as vice president has likely ensured, for now, fewer viable Democrat presidential candidates in 2024.

So, will Trump run?  Some logic might dictate that Trump not try a second campaign.

Last week, the New York Times published a hit piece on my friend Cleta Mitchell.

The Times story lies from the top, beginning with its headline: “Lawyer Who Plotted to Overturn Trump Loss Recruits Election Deniers to Watch Over the Vote.” Mitchell did not “plot to overturn Trump loss,” she worked in a single state, Georgia, to examine and expose election integrity issues there.

This is ostensibly a news story, not an op-ed. But when it comes to protecting the Democrats’ ability to implement a voter fraud strategy, the Times takes no chances. And neither will the Democrats in November.
